OLADIPO Elizabeth Tofunmi holds a bachelor’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Lagos. She has a professional certificate in Project Management from the Chartered Institute of Project Management (CIPM). She has completed the Leaving No Nigerian Behind (LeNNiB) champions Mentorship programme, 2018.
She joined YEDI as a full staff in 2019 as a Master Trainer and a Project Officer (Hello Lagos) in 2020, where she helps to support and train Young Adults from various communities as well as manage and implement various projects focused on sexual reproductive health, gender-based violence, family planning, drug & substance abuse, female genital mutilation and HIV/AIDS. She had volunteered as a Skillz Girl coach too.
She is a trained youth advocate against the practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and in this capacity worked with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Lagos Sub-Office in mentoring trained Anti-FGM champions in Lagos State. She has served as a research assistant in a project titled “Assessing the onset of menarche among young girls in secondary schools in Lagos State”. She has worked as a youth volunteer at the Hello Lagos Youth Friendly Center, Lagos Island. Through this, she has learned the importance of young people advocating for their sexual health and rights and have access to youth-friendly services.
Elizabeth envisions a society where young people’s health and well-being are prioritized and easy access to complete information and services is the standard.
