CHARLOTTE OBIDAIRO is YEDI’s passionate founder and a serial entrepreneur with experience from multiple sectors. Her professional career includes positions at a Danish law firm and in the Royal Danish Foreign Service before she joined the World Health Organization in Geneva, where she spent nearly 7 years working on a global vaccine programmes, neglected tropical diseases and health care technology and pharmaceuticals. She subsequently went on to work on reproductive health and HIV/Aids programmes at the United Nations Foundation, as Director of Development at FHI360 and as Vice President at Broadreach Healthcare. She served 4 years as a technical advisor to the Danish Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) and was the first Dane to receive a Grand Challenge Explorations Award from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Charlotte launched her first consulting business in South Africa in 2007 that expanded to Tunisia in 2009, and Nigeria in 2011. She is the director of several businesses including two international retail franchises with footprint across sub-Saharan Africa. Charlotte holds a law degree from the Universities of Aarhus, Denmark and Poitiers, France and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA.
