YEDI proudly participated in the 2025 World Malaria Day Walk, an impactful event organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Health in collaboration with the World Bank, World Health Organization, Society for Family Health, and other committed partners. This inspiring initiative was a significant step forward in the collective fight to eliminate malaria.
Themed “Malaria Ends With Us”, this year’s walk served as a dynamic platform to sensitize the public about the critical need for malaria eradication. The event brought together individuals, organizations, and communities, united by the shared goal of raising awareness about prevention and promoting education around effective malaria control measures.
By joining the walk, YEDI reaffirmed its dedication to improving health outcomes for underserved communities. Beyond creating a sense of solidarity, the event emphasized the power of collective action in tackling one of Nigeria’s most pressing health challenges. Participants engaged with the public, sharing vital information about malaria prevention methods, while also reinforcing the importance of early diagnosis and access to treatment.
As an organization with a long-standing commitment to empowering youth and advancing community well-being, YEDI remains at the forefront of impactful initiatives that address public health concerns. Together with our partners, YEDI is determined to ensure a malaria-free Nigeria by fostering education, advocacy, and sustainable health practices.
Let’s keep walking the talk—because every step counts in the journey to make malaria history.
