April 25 is World Malaria Day!

Some descriptionSome description

April 25 every year is set aside to commemorate World Malaria Day - to highlight the successes of efforts at curbing the scourge of malaria and the plight of the disease around the World. A recent World Malaria Day Report by the World Health Organisation (WHO) indicates that no significant gains were made in reducing malaria cases in the period 2015 to 2017. “The estimated number of malaria deaths in 2017, at 435,000, remained virtually unchanged over the previous year.” Against this backdrop, Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative (YEDI), with the generous support of ExxonMobil and other funders and partners, will be organising a free Medical Outreach and football tournament, utilizing the convening power of football to mobilize communities towards important malaria prevention and treatment practices, to commemorate the 2020 World Malaria DayThe venue for this year's free medical Outreach will be communicated on this platform and all of YEDI's social media platforms.
