Executive Director 

Oje Ivagba has 10 years of nonprofit management experience, with a focus on program design, training development, strategic planning, institutional development and partnership development. Prior to joining YEDI as its Executive Director, he served as Foundation Manager, Christopher Kolade Foundation;  Chief Operating Officer – Rainbow Group and Director of Programs at LEAP Africa. He has led training on soft skills, ethical leadership, social innovation and business development programs - benefiting over 15000 stakeholders across the six geo-political regions of Nigeria. He managed the implementation of the Leadership, Ethics and Civics (LEC) program in public schools in five states; which benefitted 20,000 people (students and teachers) and emerged as finalists for the FT/Citi Ingenuity Awards in 2013. Oje is highly regarded for his resourcefulness and integrity. He holds a first degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and is an alumnus of the Centre for Creative Leadership, Enterprise Development Centre – Pan Atlantic University and Monterey Institute for International Studies.

Director of Finance

Philip Obialor is an accomplished chartered accountant with extensive work experience spanning financial accounting and analysis, auditing, business financial strategy, project management and business feasibility and development. He holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting (with Distinction) from Glasgow Caledonian University UK, where he finished as the Best Graduating Master's of Accounting Student in 2010. He is a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) the USA, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of Institute of Chartered Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

Oluwatomisin Adeoye obtained her Master’s from the International Institute for Infrastructural, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (IHE), Delft, the Netherlands. She is a result-oriented Community Development expert with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Technology with experience in community project management, administration, youth empowerment, volunteer management and lots more. Prior to joining YEDI, she had worked for over ten years with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation and Volunteer Corps.

Communications, Partnership Development & External Relations Manager

Lucky Ihanza holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Journalism from Nigeria's premier school of communications and media studies - Nigerian Institute of Journalism. He’s a writer, an editor, a graphics designer, a photographer, videographer, copy-editor, a speechwriter, digital marketer, content development expert, WordPress website designer, ghostwriter and blogger. With over 7 years of consistent experience spanning marketing, public relations, and journalism, he has a deep knowledge of the workings of the media (both traditional and social), government and regulatory agencies and creative industry and maintains a network of contacts and friends across all media. He also has appreciable years of experience in marketing and the downstream sector of the oil & gas industry. Lucky has a career that covers stints in Vanguard Newspaper (2009-2009); Energy Group (2009-2011); Exquisite Magazine (2012-2013); and City People Magazine (2013-2015). Lucky is an avid reader, a patient listener, and a teacher at heart.

Head, Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning

Chukwudike Akanegbu, a Master’s Degree holder in Public Health from the University of Lagos, is results-driven, self-motivated and resourceful. By virtue of his qualification and years of practice, he is a member of the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) and American Evaluation Association (AEA). Prior to YEDI, he had worked with the International Centre for AIDS Care and Treatment Programme (ICAP), Lagos State Ministry of Health, Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN) Lagos State chapter, and Beneprojecti Nig. Limited.

Sodiq Adeyemi Ayinla is an enthusiastic and result-oriented individual with strong work ethics and a background in management and team leadership. Sodiq boasts of creativeness, and strong analytical skills, as a community worker especially on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health issues and related matters. With a degree from Yaba College of Technology, Sodiq has been involved in several training sessions with Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) Lagos State, Ministry of Youth and Sport and the adolescent unit of the Lagos State Ministry of health as a Youth Friendly Service provider. His was once awarded the overall best Coach in 2015 and 2016 consecutively when he was still a Coach. He was employed as a Master Coach in 2016 based on his outstanding performance on the field as a Coach.

Oke Olanrewaju Michael is a dynamic youth social sector professional and trainer with an unwavering passion for impacting young people with values that foster positive habits and lifestyle in them. He has over 5 years of work experience in the non-profit sector, with various volunteering roles. He is a graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, (FUNAAB), Ogun State. Olanrewaju has team leadership and management skills reinforced with a high standard of integrity and work ethics. Prior to joining YEDI, he was an Assistant Programme Coordinator with Leadership Effectiveness Accountability Professionalism (LEAP) Africa. Olanrewaju has led several change project initiatives, and also implemented various community outreaches to sensitize people on prevention strategies while proffering solutions to global issues. Olanrewaju craves a positive and sustainable change in the various sectors of the nation's economy, especially through her youth.

In-School Coordinator

Olasode Abiola Boluwatife is a graduate of Osun State Polytechnic. She holds a certificate from the Nigeria Institute of Safety Professionals (NISP). Since April 2014, she has been a MASTER COACH, after working in the male-dominated profession of welding at SACHOL, an aviation handling company. Just like all YEDI staff members, the accommodating and humble Abiola is passionate about children and eager to see a positive change in society.

Nzenwa-Orji Victor Chibueze is a University of Lagos Computer Science graduate. He also holds a Professional Certificate in Leadership and Community Development. He was a Database Administrator at Panabiz Int. Ltd, Network Admin Officer at Dufil Prima Ltd (Indomie) and Publisher of Acada Magazine, before becoming a Master Coach at YEDI. The jovial, self-reliant and hard-working Victor is passionate about youth development in Nigeria. He’s always ready to explore more of life’s possibilities while discovering himself more and this has been his staying power.

Adenekan Adewunmi Saheed is an undergraduate of Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria. A goal-motivated peer educator, he loves to teach and empower young adults to make better and effective decisions in life. Saheed is courageous, dedicated, trustworthy and personable. Commitment to excellence is an attribute he will never compromise.



                                                             MASTER COACHES/SITE COORDINATORS
Master Coaches and site coordinators were selected from coaches based on performance, health knowledge, and enthusiasm towards the Grassroots Soccer Programme. Master Coaches supervise coaches on the field through the Coach Support Visit (CSV) and they ensure the Skillz Practices are carried out effectively and efficiently.

She was a volunteer for two years before joining YEDI full-time as a Master Coach whose primary responsibility is to train, support, and supervise YEDI’s field Volunteers (Coaches) in what is known as CSV. Keji who recently joined other youth across the globe to participate in Festival16 in a youth-for-development-focused festival during the UEFA EURO 2016 in Lyons France, is driven by passion and commitment to excellence.

Bamiwola Hannah is an Accountancy undergraduate of Yaba College of Technology. Her passion for beautifying people made her obtain a diploma in hairdressing, but she is keen on inspiring young adults to make positive decisions in life that will help them secure their future and bounce back when they face challenges. She was trained as a Coach in 2012 and subsequently employed as a Master Coach in 2016. She was further trained to deliver curricula that aim at educating young adult on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH).

After about two years as a Volunteer Peer Educator with YEDI, Ani Chinasa Faith was selected and trained as a Master Coach owing to her dedication to duty and passion towards her work. She won the 2014/2015 Overall Best Female Coach in Lagos. She is passionate about empowering young adults, a passion she brings to bear on her Coach Support Visits to interventions.

Adaeze Queen holds a B.Sc. in Public Administration from the University of Abuja. She joined YEDI in 2017 as a volunteer and rose to the position of a Master Coach that same year. Adaeze is passionate about seeing young adults being empowered with accurate information on Sexual & Reproductive Health, Abuse and to ensure that the right of every child is protected. Focused and serious-minded, Adaeze also has another passion - fashion, which prompted her to obtain a certificate in Fashion and Designing.

Elizabeth Oladipupo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Lagos and a professional certificate in Project Management from the Chartered Institute of Project Management (CIPM), as well as training on Leaving No Nigerian Behind (LeNNiB) Champions Mentorship programme in 2018. After being a SKILLZ Coach for YEDI’s single-sex SKILLZ Girl program for three years, Elizabeth became a full staff member in 2019, as a Master Trainer, providing support and training to young adults, who desire to become volunteers across various communities. In her capacity as a Master Trainer, she manages and implements various projects focused on Sexual Reproductive Health, Gender-Based Violence, Family Planning, Drug & Substance abuse, Female Genital Mutilation, and HIV/AIDS. She is a trained youth advocate against the practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), having worked with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Lagos Sub-Office in mentoring trained Anti-FGM champions in Lagos State. She has served as a research assistant in a project titled “Assessing the onset of menarche among young girls in secondary schools in Lagos State”. Elizabeth is currently the Project Coordinator at one of the HELLO Lagos Youth Friendly Centers, Ogudu, Lagos. Elizabeth envisions a society where young people's health and well-being are prioritized with easy access to accurate information and standard services.

Some descriptionSome description Udeme Emah, a graduate of Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Calabar, is a result-driven Master trainer who is passionate about capacity building of disadvantaged youths. Prior to joining YEDI as a member of staff, he volunteered as a peer educator, during this time, he assisted the organization in reaching out to over 700 adolescents from SKILLZ delivery. Udeme enjoys freelance writing and routinely plays the game of Chess to sharpen his problem-solving ability, and enhance his analytical and logical thinking skills.

Olayemi Tosin Akinpelu holds a National Diploma from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos and is currently pursuing a Higher National Diploma in Microbiology from the same institution. A member of Young Africans Leadership Initiatives Network (YALI) and Society for Youth and Adolescent Health in Nigeria (SAYPHIN), Olayemi who joined YEDI in 2014 as a SKILLZ Girl Volunteer Peer Educator, understands the importance of advocating sexual health and rights and equal access to quality sexuality education for adolescents. She became a full-time member of staff in 2016 as an M&E Assistant due to her commitment and passion for excellence. As a result of her unrelenting passion for impacting young people for their personal development and towards becoming change agents in their community, Olayemi assumed the position of a Project Coordinator at one of the HELLO Lagos Youth Friendly Centres at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). She is a certified HIV-Counsellor Tester with Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA) and an advocate of Living No Nigerian Behind (LeNNiB) towards HIV.

Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant

Oluwatosin Oladipupo holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education and a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Lagos. As a trained teacher with about 3 years of experience, her passion for teaching and for seeing young ones live a purposeful healthy life inspired her joining the YEDI team as a volunteer in 2016, before becoming a full-time staff - first as the Front Desk/Admin Assistant, and now, M&E Assistant. Tosin is enthusiastic and does not cease to improve herself and be of value to all. Her innovative and creative spirit has also greatly influenced her continuous search for knowledge and driven her passion for Fashion.

Adeniyi Adetola is a community service mobilizer, an active and resourceful social worker with a portfolio of projects and background in management and team leadership. With a certificate in Non-Profit Leadership and Management from Lagos Business School, (Pan Atlantic University), and a graduate of philosophy from the University of Lagos, Adeniyi who joined YEDI as a volunteer in 2016 was awarded the best Volunteer Coach in Eti-Osa LGA in 2017 for his active commitment and immense contributions to the development of his community. He was recruited in 2018 as a Master Trainer and is one of the 2019 recipients of YEDI Staff of the Year award.
