Few days back, over 300 adolescents partook in the week-long SKILLZ Holiday Camp (SHC) in Lagos and Abuja, where they underwent transformative experiences that instill in them a deep commitment to promoting healthy behaviors. The knowledge and skills acquired empower them to make informed choices and prioritize their well-being.
SHC- a five-day non-residential, community-based, socio-behavioral program is designed to empower adolescents (ages 10-19) in selected underserved communities with essential information on sexual and reproductive health, mental health, financial literacy, and other life-coping skills. It also provides them with the support needed to transition into adulthood.
We want to express our deepest thanks to our partners, without whom SHC wouldn’t have happened: Grassroot Soccer, Common Goal, FIFA Foundation and Tackle Africa.
We also encourage other organizations to join us in our mission to make a lasting impact on the well-being of adolescents, fostering a community that thrives on wellness and resilience. Your support matters, and together, we can significantly improve the lives of countless young individuals.
